UV inkjet printer troubleshooting and solutions

UV inkjet printers use the deformation characteristics of piezoelectric crystals to spray ink onto the surface of moving objects to form a dot matrix, thereby forming text and patterns. UV inkjet printers are high-resolution continuous non-contact inkjet printers. The main printing component, the nozzle, consists of 128 or more piezoelectric crystals to control multiple nozzle holes on the nozzle plate. The diameter of the nozzle holes is very small. Small, so most of the failures of UV inkjet printers occur on the nozzle.

 1. The ink cannot be printed and the printing fonts are incomplete.

There are two reasons for such problems. The nozzle driver is faulty or the ink circuit is clogged. The troubleshooting methods are as follows:

① Check the nozzle drive circuit to see if the power supply of the nozzle drive board is normal, whether the drive board is working, and whether the main controller sends the signal to the drive board correctly.

② Check whether the pipe joints are loose, resulting in poor contact and ink leakage; whether the filter is clogged, clean it if clogged; squeeze the ink to see if the positive pressure is normal, if not, check the valve; the pipe joints and ink tubes have been corroded or blocked, This problem may occur if unusable ink or cleaning fluid is used; if the print head is damaged, it needs to be replaced.

 2. There are scattered spots around the printed content.

Reasons for such problems include slight blockage of the nozzle, failure to connect the safety ground wire, aging nozzle or printing distance is too far, voltage is too high or the conveyor belt is uneven. Troubleshooting methods are as follows:

① Check whether the nozzle is slightly clogged. If it is clogged, the ink droplets printed will not be straight lines, so scattered dots will appear around the printed content. In this case, just clean the nozzle;

② Check whether the safety ground wire has been connected. If the ground wire is not connected, scattering will also occur under static electricity interference;

③ Check whether the nozzle is aging. Newly purchased machines generally do not have this problem. After troubleshooting, consider whether the printing distance is too long. If it is too long, scattering will occur. You can try to shorten the printing distance;

④ Check whether the voltage is normal. The nozzle voltage is too high and the printing force is too strong. The ink will appear scattered when printing on hard materials. It is recommended to lower the voltage; or the product may not be transferred smoothly on the conveyor belt, so the printing Scattered spots are prone to occur. In this case, replace the conveyor belt immediately.

 3. Printed fonts are blurry

 The reasons for such problems include clogged nozzles, excessive printing distance, failure to connect the safety ground wire or motherboard failure, etc.

If the print head is clogged, the printing distance is too far, the safety ground wire is not connected and other factors have been eliminated, it can generally be concluded that the main board of the inkjet printer is faulty, please contact the manufacturer directly.
